This is so incredibly ignorant that it’s making my head hurt. When people say, “Guns don’t kill people,” they are not saying, “A gun and bullets can’t be used to kill someone,” and you know it. A gun, by itself, cannot kill someone. It doesn’t matter what side of the the debate you’re on. A gun, by itself, cannot kill someone. The problem has always, always been people. If you put the blame on an inanimate object, you are saying that people don’t need to take responsibility for their actions.
I hate to repeat a tired cliche, but if you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns. Or people will find other ways of murdering each other. This shouldn’t even be a political argument, it’s not about our Second Amendment rights; it’s about being able to defend yourself. Let’s say gun control is fully instated, or it’s made illegal to own a gun. One day, you’re walking home, and someone with a gun pulls you into an alley, threatening your life for whatever it is they want. If you point at them and say, “Hey, having that gun is illegal!” do you think they’ll apologize profusely, turn themselves in, and allow you to go on your merry way?
However, if any average person on the street has a gun, do you think muggers and thieves (or even an ill-intentioned average Joe) are going to be more motivated to make a target of someone? Probably not, since there’s a high chance that target will be well armed (like Chicago vs. Houston, if you look at the first article below).
I’m sorry to turn this into a rant, I don’t do this (very) often. Just read the first paragraph, that’s really all I meant to say.

Oh yes, because owning a gun is your “duty as an american”, isn’t it? United States, the greatest gun producer. “Buy a pink rifle to your daughter, teach kids how guns are awesome and cool. Give guns TO CHILDREN.” But when they murder each other, blame video games or Marlin Manson. Not the whole gun propaganda nor the president sending more soldiers to kill muslims.

IT JUST KEEPS HAPPENING
It’s it’s a fact! Cities and states that allow a gun on a person are noticeably lower in murder. Having guns is about protection. No, we are not EVER going to give guns to children. We are not going to tell that that having guns are cool, like it’s a toy. We are going to tell them that it’s a dangerous weapon and can kill somebody, even you, if not handled correctly. We can teach them that they can be used for protection if they’re desperate enough. Wether our not they learn how to use it is the parents choice, not yours. I learned how to use a gun by the time I was 11, and I turned out fine. Tons of other people I know also learned how to use a gun at a young age, but they are crazy maniacs. They are normal people that would only use a gun if needed.

Heres a little math problem for you If 90% of Americans are too helpless and stupid to get a job or function without medical assistance or are suspected terrorists or illegal immigrants or blind or ridden with ptsd or are suicidal or xenophobic or alcoholics or heroine addicts or domestic abusers or animal torturers or white supremacists or radical anything OR REALLY ANY COMBINATION OF FUCKED UP AND UNSTABLE. Then what percentage of Americans should NOT be allowed to have a gun? How are the handicap going to defend themselves in your fantasy “EVERYONE HAS A GUN FOR PROTECTION” world if they physically can’t shoot a gun? Is grandma going to press her button for life alert or get knocked on her ass by a shotgun that she’s too frail to even aim properly? Do you think inmates in prison would be safer from fights if everyone in prison was given a gun or a knife? Should children in school be allowed to carry tazers to keep them safe from bullies? Gotta teach then young how to defend themselves right? But non lethal damage doesn’t exist in your fantasy world everything is a black and white, life and death scenario so i guess we should just give the kids knives or pistols. Yep cut out the middle man of letting the teachers carry guns and shoot the bad kidsn just let the kids shoot the other kids on their own
And the other 10% are law enforcement and hunters who by the way don’t kill deer or people with fully automatic assault weapons. And if outlaws have illegal guns, guess where they get them from? Their friend who so easily bought the gun legally in a corner gun store and online and through gunshow loop holes. You walk into a gun shop, you buy a gun and you go “here friend i bought u a gun” just like older people buying alcohol for younger people. Or adults buying guns for their children. And if that first person had any kind of restriction on them to prevent them from having the gun legally they wouldn’t have been able to give it to someone illegally. ANY TIME YOU HOLD A GUN that YOU DIDN’T BUY IT’S ILLEGAL and YOUR AVERAGE PERSON DOESN’T HAVE A LICENSE TO CARRY THEY JUST CARRY. And they assume they’re protected by the second ammendment. it’s just that simple.
SOLUTION:
# don’t let stupid people have guns 2016 # i don’t care if you use someone’s IQ or a pre test. # take their guns away 2016 # comprehensive background checks 2016 # stricter testing and licensing for gun ownership # just like testing to drive a car. # classes, training, multiple choice test, permit, final exam. # more regulations on the NRA # confiscation and gun melt down of illegal guns. # government buybacks for old guns # limit ammunition sales # limit number of guns that can be purchasable on a person’s gun license. Like a hole punch card system but electronic. # no more fully automatics or military grade weapons to the public # raise taxes on guns and it better fucking be a luxury tax. # police need to ask to see license before shooting someone for having a gun # “he’s got a gun i think” is not a reason to open fire # second ammendment needs to be repealed or improved # ALL GUNS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH A GOVERNMENT REGULATED MONOPOLY OVER ALL GUN SALES. NO INDEPENDENT SELLERS. NO GUN SHOWS NO FOREIGN TRADE.
